1. Our Commitment to Readers
WorldPlayHub is an independent sports news website covering cricket, football, basketball, hockey, tennis and other sports for readers in India and around the world. Our aim is to publish sports news that is clear, accurate, fair and useful. This page explains the standards we follow when we create and publish content, and the limits of the information on our Website.
2. Editorial Standards
Every article we publish is guided by these principles:
- Accuracy first: We check names, dates, venues, scores, statistics and match details before publishing, and we aim to report only what can be supported by reliable sources.
- Clarity: We write in simple, direct language so readers can understand the story quickly. Our headlines are meant to reflect the content of the article and not to mislead.
- Fairness: We treat athletes, teams, officials and organisations with respect. We do not publish personal attacks, hate speech or discriminatory content.
- Timeliness: We work to publish important results, previews and updates promptly, and we update articles when new information becomes available.
- Originality: Our articles are written for WorldPlayHub. We do not copy and paste content from other websites, and we credit sources where it is appropriate to do so.
3. How We Gather Information
Our reporting draws on publicly available and reputable sources, such as:
- Official announcements and press releases from sports federations, leagues, clubs and tournament organisers
- Official match schedules, scorecards and results published by governing bodies
- Statements from players, coaches and officials
- Reports published by established news organisations
Where a story is based on a single report or listing, or where details are not yet confirmed, we try to say so clearly in the article. Rumours, speculation and unverified claims are not presented as facts.
4. Types of Content We Publish
- News and match reports: Factual coverage of results, performances and developments
- Previews and schedules: Information on upcoming matches, tournaments and events
- Explainers and rule updates: Articles that explain how a competition, rule or format works
- Analysis and features: Articles that discuss the significance of a result or trend. These may include the author’s interpretation and are clearly different from straight news reports.
5. Corrections and Updates
We are committed to correcting mistakes openly and quickly. If you spot an error in any article, whether it is a wrong score, name, date or statistic, please contact us with the article link and the correction you suggest. After reviewing the request, we will correct the article and, where the change is significant, note that the article has been updated.
6. Editorial Independence
WorldPlayHub’s editorial decisions are made independently by our editor. Advertisers, sponsors and other third parties do not control or influence what we report or how we report it. We do not publish paid articles or sponsored opinions disguised as news. If we ever publish sponsored or promotional content, we will label it clearly.
7. Advertising Disclosure
The Website is free to read and is supported by advertising, including ads served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. Advertisements are separate from our editorial content, and the presence of an ad does not mean that we endorse the advertiser, product or service.
